so now she’s falling to her knees and pledging everything she has to clarke, laying bare her soul like “this is how i feel and i’ll do anything for you” but at the same time she’s not asking for anything in return. it’s not an “if you’ll have me then i’ll protect you and your people.” it’s a promise without prerequisites. “i vow to treat your needs as my own, and your people as my people.” period. full stop. she recognizes how badly she messed up before and so she’s making amends by unconditionally giving her sword and her heart and her whole life to clarke, even if clarke holds her at arm’s length for the rest of their lives and never reciprocates her feelings. this is what she’s giving. this is how much she loves clarke.
